Tomjoolery has closed! Tomjoolery's shopping cart and online catalogue are now closed. Thank you to everyone who has supported Tomjoolery over the past five years.

Despite the fact that the cart has closed, I still have mountains of stock. I will be clearing this mostly on eBay. Click here to access the auctions. (If the page says "No Items Found", that means we have no auctions live at that time.)

This home page and my Tomjoolery email (service@tomjoolery.com.au) will remain active, and I will happily provide you with items you need if I still have them in stock. Just drop me a line and I can email you an invoice. You may have to send me a picture, though, as I can no longer access the photos and descriptions that were previously in the shopping sections of my site.

Also, if you live in Sydney, or are visiting here, you are most welcome to come and browse my stock.

I am also happy to sell you some of the chemicals (and other bits and pieces) required for antiquing brass, and to give you a lesson in antiquing. This used to be one of my closely guarded trade secrets, but what the hey! I am happy to pass it on now that I have (more or less) closed. Most of the stuff I am selling on eBay will be in raw brass, so if you love the antiqued look, a hands-on lesson may be your only option! Unfortunately, Australia Post regulations prevent me from mailing the chemicals, but I have stacks of it here. So please feel free get in touch if this is of interest to you. Email me at service@tomjoolery.com.au.

Thanks again, everyone.

Now that I have made the hard decision to close down my web site, people have been stocking up on their favourite pieces. I have only a few left of the Victoriana frame that is the basis of the pendant on the right, and my stock of gorgeous vitrail square octagons is also getting lower. The other reason I put up this photograph is to show you a different use for the antique-brass charms found on my site. Sure, they work beautifully as charms, but with a little imagination - and some glue! - you can use them as embellishments too. The bat charm in this pendant is a good example. You can either snip off the suspension ring, or fill it with a rhinestone chaton (as I did here). A good size chaton for this job is SS10 to SS12. Have fun creating!

To see a gallery of designs made with Tomjoolery products, click here. Choose a designer's album, and then select "Slideshow" to view their work. The designs are there for you to browse, enjoy and be inspired. But please do not directly copy any of the pieces - unless they are in the "Tomjoolery" or "Harriet Smith Designs" folders (as these are our own designs, and we are happy to share them).
