Payment Options

Internet-banking deposit (our preferred payment method)

When you've finished shopping and proceed through our check-out, you'll find out all the information you need about the payment options above. For example, if you opt to pay via Internet banking (our preferred payment method), we'll let you know our account and BSB number. If you elect to pay by cheque or money order, you'll be told our address for postage of your payment.

Customers who choose to pay by Paypal will be taken directly to a secure Paypal page. You do not need to be a Paypal member to pay using this method. You will, however, require a valid credit card. Paypal is currently the only way we can accept credit-card payments. It is also the only payment method we accept for customers outside Australia - so please make sure you select Paypal as your payment method if you live anywhere other than Australia.

For Australian customers, we happily accept personal cheques. However, we cannot send your goods until the cheque has been cleared by our banking institution. This process usually takes about three working days. Cheques must be made out to Siobhan McMahon (the owner of Tomjoolery), not to Tomjoolery itself. Money orders must also be made out to Siohan McMahon, not to Tomjoolery.

We require payment within three working days of you placing your order.

Postage Options

We make no profit on postage.

When you proceed through our check-out, you will be asked to select one of the following postage options:

 Regular Post: AU $1.50. Ordinary parcel post to any Australian post code. Please note that this postage option is available only to Australian customers.
 Registered Post: AU $4.30. Parcels sent using this method are trackable, and are automatically insured to a value of up to AU $100. Please note that this postage option is available only to Australian customers.
 Express Post: AU $4.90. Parcels sent using this method are trackable, and will be delivered the next working day to most post codes within Australia. Please note that this postage option is available only to Australian customers.
 International Air Mail: AU $2.50. Regular parcel post to any country other than Australia.

In most cases, these charges will apply regardless of the quantity you order. However, for extra large orders, we reserve the right to request an additional - and reasonable - postage charge. If applicable, we will inform you about this by email after you have placed your order.

We take the utmost care to ensure your Tomjoolery products arrive safely. All orders are shipped in a protective padded bag.

Because of the effort we put into protecting your goods, we do not accept responsibility for parcels lost or damaged by Australia Post. However, Australian customers have the option of Registering their parcel. This includes insurance up to the value of AU $100. The parcel is also allocated a unique identification number, which allows us to track its whereabouts. We will keep a record of all Registered Post numbers. If you need it, please email us: service@tomjoolery.com.au.

Extra insurance charges may apply for orders valued at over AU $100. Again, if this is the case, we will email you after you have placed your order to organise separate payment of these charges.

Insurance is also available for most overseas destinations. If you do not live in Australia and would like to insure your goods, please let us know via email after you have placed your order. We will then find out the cost for you. We can't be more specific here about international insurance charges, as these vary greatly from country to country.

The time required to process your order depends on factors such as our current workload and the type of goods you've ordered. Small orders requiring no antiquing can be turned around very quickly; large orders that require lots of antiquing and glueing will take longer (we do most antiquing and glueing ourselves). In general, we try to ship all orders within three working days of receiving payment for them. If your order is likely to take longer, we'll let you know via email. We'll also email you the date your order actually shipped, so you'll have a rough idea when it might arrive.

Refunds and Returns

We are extremely proud of the quality of our products, and have a strict policy of never sending customers items that we would not be happy to use in our own jewellery designs. However, if for some reason you are dissatisfied with your order, please email us immediately so we can discuss a solution.

In most cases, we will gladly refund the cost of a product that you believe is different or of a lesser quality than the sample shown on our web site. You may also exchange it for another item, or request a credit on your next Tomjoolery order. We will not refund the cost of mailing your order.

Please choose carefully when you are shopping, as we do not normally give refunds if you selected the wrong item orchanged your mind.

Overseas Customers

We are very happy to accept orders from customers outside Australia. However, please note that the only payment method we currently accept from overseas customers is Paypal.

Overseas orders attract a postage charge of AU $4.50. This covers air-mail postage of your items in a protective padded bag. In most cases, this charge will apply regardless of the amount you order. However, for extra-large orders, we reserve the right to request an additional - and reasonable - postage charge. if applicable, we'll inform you about this via email after you have placed your order.

To process your order, it is necessary for us to collect certain details about you - such as your street address and email address. However, your privacy is very important to us. We will never share your details with a third party.
